Accountability

Filed under: Uncategorized — jenniferelbaum @ 10:45 pm

I was reading agent Rachel Vater’s blog and she suggests that we make the resolution of getting an “accountability partner” (read her whole post at: http://raleva31.livejournal.com/ ) . Someone to ask how many words/pages/scenes you wrote each week.

Do you have an accountability partner? Is it helpful?

  1. An accountability partner for me would probably have to be armed and dangerous. Did hear an author say she logged her words every day in a table at the start of her ms. I suppose a whole lot of zeros might be embarrassing to note, and if I’d opened the document I suppose I’d feel obliged to actually write something so the log didn’t say zero, zero, zero.
    It just might work!

  2. LOL, yes and an accountability partner for me would need combat pay if she asked me the wrong way when I have PMS.

As for the log, you could improve for a least 100 days without much effort if you started at 0 day 1, 1 day 2, 2 day 3, etc!
